Mainstage 2 Download Mac
Update: Apple has now released Logic Pro 9 ($199) and MainStage 2 ($29) in the Mac App Store. Weighing in at 413 MB, Logic Pro 9 requires 3.6GB of disk space and still comes with all the built-in plug-ins and sounds. However, for commenters pointing out the many GBs of additional content bundled with the soon to be discontinued $499 Logic Studio, Apple is making 19GB of additional content available via in-app downloads. Otherwise the app, at first glance, appears to be largely unchanged.
Just out of interest, if you were to purchase the Mainstage 2 app for the iPad 2. How does the licensing work in this scenario? Could you use the license purchased with that on a Macbook with mainstage installed?
When i contacted Apple last week, in regards to the download and use of multiple copies of Final Cut Pro X from the App Store I was told the same thing as is indicated in these documents. So long as I own (or control) the Mac computers I download and install FCPX on and i use my Apple ID to purchase them, I can install FCPX on as many computers as I like without restriction. I did so on 3 of my Macs without issue...
If you prefer a one time expense you can simply turn off auto-renew within your User Account. After your license year ends you'll no longer receive SK Sound Library updates, have access to additional self-service downloads of Sunday Keys files, or features exclusive to those with an active Sunday Keys License. Our team will continue to be available to help should you ever need access to files you previously received.
It's worth noting that buying either app from the Mac App Store includes download access to the complete library of Apple Loops, sampled software instruments, and Audio Unit effects. That content, which was previously sold separately to Logic Express users as various Jam Packs and other add-ons, previously cost over $600. Since Logic Express sold for $199 but didn't include the extra content that was bundled with Logic Studio, it is effectively replaced with Logic Pro. (When Apple released the controversial update to its professional video editing software, it dropped the prosumer Final Cut Express as well.)
MainStage 3 was released alongside Logic Pro X on July 16, 2013 as a paid update and available only as a download from the Mac App Store. There is a free iPad companion app available designed for use with Logic Pro X, MainStage 3 and GarageBand, which can act as a hardware controller for various parameters.[11]
There are over 80 different instruments to apply a wide range of audio effects and support for working with different audio units.Import sounds from the Logic Pro X or from your own collection. Also, the users can modify the tempo, mix different tracks, add transition effects, and much more to deal with the musical compositions. Connect MIDI devices and control various settings to deal with a physical setup. The multi-mapping feature can significantly change the audio effects. Use a variety of plugins to enhance the app functionalities. On concluding notes, it is one of the best applications for creating high-quality sound effects during live performances. You may also like to download Apple Logic Pro X.

I got a call today at lunch from my good friend and fellow Mac geek Kerry- there had been a new copy of Logic Pro X and Mainstage 3 released today. I was super excited, rushed home and started downloading it immediately.
As I downloaded the large files, I checked email- over 30 of you had asked questions already about the new Mainstage, and I'd had over 1,000 times the number of hits on my free Mainstage patches page than I normally get each day. So I decided to answer a few of your questions while I wait for the download to complete.
A: at a little over 2.5 gigabytes, it'll take a bit of time to download. Apple has you download just the shell of the program first from the App Store, and then when you launch it for the first time, Mainstage starts automatically downloading the content. It says it should take about an hour to finish downloading all the content, but it's probably going to be about two hours for me on a broadband connection.
First, download the MIDI Designer App from the App store. At the time of this writing, the app was $19 USD. This app works with various iPad MIDI hardware interfaces, but in this article, I'll be showing how to connect it wirelessly via your Mac and iPad's built-in Wi-Fi.
Another good thing about MainStage,is that it lets you play the Logic Pro sounds (which would cost you alot of money to buy) at no extra charge, though those sounds requirea lengthy download to install them.
